| VISUAL ARTS GALLERY Gene Boyd Lumawag was a photojournalist and videodocumentalist for Mindanews. Son of a reputable photojournalist in Davao, GBoyd had made his own mark in Mindanao photojournalism with his own repertoire of striking images embedded with his unique aesthetics. Notable are the way his photos are naturally framed. Many of his amazing photos can be found at www.pbase.com/gene_boyd. Gene Boyd died in November 2004 in Jolo, Sulu. He was shooting the sunset, his favorite subject, when a gunman shot him in the head point blank. (click thumbnails to view larger version.)
