Kublai is a sculptor, art photographer, painter, digital artist, and performance artist who drives a polka-dotted black and white old car. He is famed for his gigantic sculptures and since his homecoming from UP Dilliman in the late 1990s, has invaded many parts of Mindanao armed with portland cement, a quick, masterful hand, and restless hedonism. He first caught the public eye with his wall-to-ceiling paintings, digital artworks, photographs, giant ants, and what-have-you at the family-owned Ponce Suites often referred to as "that hotel with the giant alice-in-wonderland chairs." Based in Davao, the prolific Cotabato-born artist who wears his shirts inside out is also a founder-member of Enigmata Creative Circle.
